Composition
Each vial contains 75 IU of highly purified u-FSH (urofollitropin).
Indication
Ovulation induction in patients with disturbed LH:FSH ratio e.g. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART), for stimulation of the development of multiple follicles (superovulation) in women
Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism
Dosage and Administration
1. Ovulation induction in patients with disturbed LH:FSH ratio e.g. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
- Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly 75 ~ 150 IU a day within the 7th day of menstruation cycle and continue administration for 7 ~ 12 days with dose adjustment based on patient's response every 7 or 14 days.
- If follicle completely matures, inject 5,000 ~ 10,000 IU hCG (IVF-C) 24 ~ 48 hours after the last treatment of FOLLIMON (FOVULAN).
2. Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART), for stimulation of the development of multiple follicles (superovulation) in women
- Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly 150 ~ 225 IU a day from the 2nd or 3rd day of menstruation cycle and until follicle gets matured, with dose adjustment based on patient's response (do not increase up to 450 IU a day).
- Inject intramuscularly up to 10,000 IU hCG (IVF-C) 24 ~ 48 hours after the last treatment of FOLLIMON (FOVULAN).
3. Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism
- Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly 150 IU thrice a week with concomitant hCG (IVF-C) injection for at least 4 months.
